DATAVERSE

The FDSS DataVerse initiative, launched in November 2023, is a series of workshops and discussions focused on advanced data science skills. It featured expert-led sessions on tools like Excel, Python, SQL, and Power BI, attracting over 150 participants. This initiative fostered skill-building, networking, and industry connections, solidifying FDSS’s role in promoting data science education at FAST NUCES.

DATACON

The FDSS DataCon, held in May 2024, brought together professionals and students passionate about data science, attracting over 150 delegates from 12 universities and multiple top organizations. Despite limited seating, the event featured sessions on career paths, interview techniques, and data-driven business strategies, with speakers from companies like Careem, Marketlytics, and Datayard.ai. DataCon strengthened professional networks and provided practical insights, highlighting FDSS’s commitment to advancing data science education and industry collaboration.

DATAQUEST

The FDSS DataQuest, scheduled for December 2023, was a competitive event aimed at enhancing and showcasing data science skills. It attracted over 70 teams, each participating in the SQL Challenge and Data Visualization Competition, where they demonstrated data manipulation and visualization abilities. The event also included a workshop on Deep Ensemble Learning in Computer Vision, led by Dr. Muhammad Atif Tahir from FAST NUCES. DataQuest fostered collaboration both within and beyond university boundaries, reinforcing FAST NUCES’s reputation as a leader in data science education and skill development.
